Cookies

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that are stored on your computer or mobile device when you use one of our websites. We would also like to provide you with comprehensive information about our use of cookies.

What do we use cookies for?

The cookies we use are primarily used to ensure the functionality of our website. We also use cookies to adapt our website to your customer requirements and to make surfing with us as comfortable as possible. We also use cookies to optimize our advertising. Cookies allow us to present you with advertisements and/or special products and services that may be of particular interest to you based on your use of our website. Our goal is to make our Internet offer as attractive as possible for you and to present you with advertising that corresponds to your areas of interest.

What cookies do we use?

Most of the cookies we use are automatically deleted from your computer or mobile device at the end of the browser session (so-called session cookies). For example, we use session cookies to remember your country and language preferences across different pages of an Internet session.

In addition, we also use temporary or permanent cookies. These remain stored on your computer or mobile device after the end of the browser session. When you visit one of our websites again, it will then automatically recognize which entries and settings you prefer. These temporary or permanent cookies remain stored on your computer or mobile device for between one month and ten years, depending on the type of cookie, and are automatically deactivated after the programmed time has elapsed. They serve to make our Internet pages more user-friendly, faster and more secure.

What data is stored in the cookies?

No personal data is stored in the cookies we use. The cookies we use cannot be assigned to a specific person. When a cookie is activated, an identification number is assigned to it.

How can you prevent cookies from being stored?

Most Internet browsers automatically accept cookies. However, you can instruct your browser not to accept cookies or to ask you each time before accepting a cookie from a website you visit. You can also delete cookies on your computer or mobile device by using the appropriate function of your browser. If you decide not to accept our cookies or the cookies of our partner companies, you will not be able to see certain information on our websites and you will not be able to use some features designed to improve your visit.

Mobile Applications

If you download and use the 4sure AG Mobile Devices or Erbium applications, then the third party provider (data processor) processes unique installation identifiers, IP addresses, usernames (such as email addresses or contract numbers), transaction information for confirmation, device information (such as mobile operating system, mobile device model, etc.) and metadata of authentication and transaction confirmation processes (such as timestamps of these operations).

The app also records anonymized log and sensor data (e.g. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth scan results) when using the signal-based zero-touch authentication method.

All data is processed by the Data Processor exclusively for the use of the authentication function and transaction confirmation.

If the sound-based authentication function Zero-Touch is used, then the app records the audio data from the microphone of the device on which the app is running. This audio data is processed exclusively locally by the app’s authentication function and is not transmitted to any other systems.

How do we use log files?

Every time you access our website, technical usage data is transmitted to us by your Internet browser and stored in log files, the so-called log files. This includes the following usage data: date and time of access to our website; Name of the website accessed; IP address of your computer or mobile device; Address of the website from which you came to our website; amount of data transferred, as well as the name and version of your browser.

Analysis of log files helps us to further improve and enhance the user-friendliness of our online services, to identify and fix errors more quickly, and to allocate server capacity according to demand.

How do we use web analytics tools?

In order to continuously improve and optimize our Internet offering, we use so-called tracking technologies. Web analysis tools provide us with statistics and graphics that provide us with information about the use of our Internet pages. In this case, the data about the use of an Internet site is transmitted to the server used for this purpose. Depending on the provider of a web analysis tool, these servers may be located abroad. For the most commonly used web analysis tool, Google Analytics, this data is transmitted including abbreviated IP addresses, which prevents the identification of individual devices. Google observes the data protection regulations of the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and has applied to the U.S. Department of Commerce for the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield (information on the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield can be found at https://www.privacyshield.gov/Swiss-US-Privacy-Shield-FAQs). The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data held by Google. Google will only transfer this data to third parties on the basis of legal regulations or in the context of commissioned data processing.

If other web analysis tools are used within 4sure AG, the process of data collection is basically the same.

You can prevent the collection of the data generated by cookies and related to your use of the website
(including your IP address) by Google and the processing of this data by Google by clicking on the
following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de download and install available
browser plugin. For more information about Google Analytics and data protection, please see http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de or http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.

How do we use social plugins?

Our website uses social plugins, e.g. from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Xing or Google+. The plugins are marked with the logo of the provider and can be, for example, Like buttons or a Google+ button or Twitter button.

If you call up our Internet pages that contain such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the provider’s computers. The content of the plugin is transmitted directly to your browser by the offering site and integrated into the website by it. By integrating the plug-ins, the provider receives the information that you have accessed our website. If you are logged in to the provider at the same time, the provider can assign the visit to your profile. When you interact with the plugins – for example, press the Like button or leave a comment – the relevant information is transmitted directly from your browser to the provider and stored there. The interaction is recorded by AddThis for analysis purposes.

If you do not want the provider to collect data about you via our website, you must log out of the provider before visiting our website. Even when logged out, the providers collect anonymized data via the social plugins and set a cookie for you. If you log in to the provider at a later date, this data can be assigned to your profile.

For the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing of your data by the provider, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy, please refer to the provider’s privacy policy.

If you do not want the providers to collect data about you via these cookies, you can select the “Block third-party cookies” function in your browser settings. In this case, the browser does not send cookies to the server for embedded content from other providers. With this setting, other functions of our website may no longer work.

No liability for websites or services of third parties

In the design and operation of our services, we work together with various partners (e.g. within the scope of bookmarks), who in turn offer websites and Internet services. These may also be accessible through the links from our website. The use of these third-party services takes place outside the area of responsibility of 4sure AG.

The data protection regulations of these third parties will then apply. These partners usually have their own privacy policies and/or privacy policies. We assume no responsibility or liability for these statements and guidelines, which are not related to our services.
